The best weekend getaway, a lovely place that was very peaceful and perfect for celebrating our first wedding anniversary with my husband. The lodge itself was wow—definitely coming back again 😁. We liked everything.

We were very disappointed because we booked this getaway for our 50th wedding anniversary and there was supposed to be a hot tub but it wasn’t there, there was no cooker—just a microwave—and the lodge was far from clean; we had to put the dishes in the dishwasher and under the sofa were loads of dog hairs. I definitely would not stay there again; it was very disappointing for the price, we could have had a hotel for those nights for less, and I will be telling all my friends and associates about the poor experience. The location was good and the pub, The Three Pigeons, in the car park was brilliant.

The lodges were very modern and had good facilities, and the view from our lodge was amazing. I would have liked a more comfortable seating area outside, as we only had a picnic bench, but it didn’t ruin our weekend. There are tables with chairs in the communal area between lodges, and I guess we could have borrowed a set for our lodge if we’d asked.
