I had a hard time sleeping because of the outside noise, which was a major issue.

I stayed in the Thamel quarter and the boss kindly gave me a ride to the airport for the price of a cab; the street view from my room was nice, though the road can get a bit noisy. The stairs and lack of a lift didn’t bother me since I was in Nepal to climb, and any shower problems were fixed quickly. I did notice there were no hangers, and I suspect loose hangers could be a theft risk.
