“Casa bonita, suite grande, proximo ao estadio apenas alguns problemas com a comunicação.”
We were about a 10‑minute walk from the entrance of the Leiria Stadium, which was great because we were going to a concert there. Geraldo was the person who showed us the house and handed over the keys, always very polite and friendly. The house is large and very beautiful. We had some trouble at the start: a few days after the confirmed reservation, we received a message asking us to cancel because the house was still under renovation, apparently a platform error, but since the listing was still active we spoke with the support team, who contacted the property and secured our booking. We had tentatively set a check‑in between 16:00 and 17:00, but when we arrived at 16:00 there was no one. No problem, we visited the castle and then saw a message on the arrival day asking us to be notified 30 minutes in advance because no one would be in the house, so I told them we were already in the city center and asked if check‑in could be at 18:00. I received a call from Geraldo saying he was already at the house (around 16:30) and we left the castle and rushed to the house because he had another commitment after 17:30. Even though the reservation was made more than 10 days in advance, these extra entry instructions were given only a few hours before arrival. For check‑out, we were told we could stay until 12:00 because there were no guests the next day, but in the morning we received a message from the property saying we had to leave before 11:00, and it was already 10:20 when we woke up. I messaged the property, and they told me it was an automated system message. Unfortunately it was too late, and we hurried to leave around that time, had just one cup of coffee, and left. The staff were kind, the house is beautiful, the promotional price was very good, but these communication problems, even though resolved, caused unnecessary friction. I believe it will improve as they were receptive to feedback.
