The location was perfect, with Kairin‑bo, Kōmi‑jō, and Kenroku‑en all within walking distance, but I was slightly disappointed with the social area that’s a hallmark of guesthouses; the first floor also doubles as a kitchen, but on that day no meals were served, only drinks, which was unavoidable, yet I felt I had chosen the place for that purpose and it didn’t meet my expectations.
