The staff were incredibly friendly, the food was beautiful, and the views and location were spectacular.

The staff were excellent, doing everything they could to make our stay enjoyable and memorable, the food was really good, and the room was very clean and comfortable. The location was good, 10 minutes walk to the bottom of Catbells and then another 5 minutes to the lake. Just be aware the roads are narrow so you need to listen out for traffic, especially if you have a dog.

Location, attractive,comfortable and clean Very friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast. Peaceful. No food on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings. Bar closed a 8 pm

I stayed for a single night for an event nearby. The room was nice, comfy, and the location was quiet. The views of the Newlands valley were superb, and as a Yorkshireman I was impressed by the beer selection at the bar. I didn’t eat dinner there, but breakfast was good and the staff were super friendly. I’d definitely recommend it.
