Lovely building full of character, great location and cosy for a glass of wine in the evening. Delicious breakfast and felt very comfortable staying on my own. Staff were lovely and welcoming. Room was a little chilly but the little heater worked really well to heat the room

“Needs some love”

The staff and breakfast are brilliant can't fault them at all. The location is perfect and a short walk from the car park that is reasonably priced. The beds in room 3 are to hard. The room decorating is very tired. Big holes in wall in the bathroom under the towel rail. When we flushed the toilet a sewage smell came up through the shower plug hole. Window catch broken. Can't get to the plug sockets next to the bed without moving the bed or the bedside cabinet

“Mixed stay”

Nice refurbished old inn with great food. The rooms were quite small and quite cold. The radiators didn’t work although we belatedly found an oil fired mobile one with a wobbly wheel….felt like we were in a rental let ! Also the main bathroom light was out At night we weren’t told that there was a night entrance and that the door to the pub was locked until 7:30 when we needed to get down quick for breakfast as we had a flight to catch

“Good n bad service.”

Great location and close to centre. No parking but large carpark 3 mins away and with cctv. Breakfast was lush and two ladies running it at very polite. We arrived and went out for tea and stretch h our legs. Came back just after 8pm and wife went up to room. I was going to get two drinks to take to room as night cap, only to be told no beers on tap as cleaning pipes n seemed pleased I could not get a drink as they shut at 9:30. Should have stayed at local Wetherspoon only down road. Disappointed with this as I was willing to spend money in there own bar
