Via Mare Luxury Rooms

“Terrible disappointment.”

Close to beach. We had to check out after 1 night and find alternative accommodation for our remaining 2 nights in Split. The room was dirty and mouldy. The musty/mouldy smell was unbearable. The main shower head did not work and water was lukewarm. The fridge did not work. The ‘double bed’ was 2 singles pushed together and made up as singles (the quilt cover had holes in it). I contacted the property to let them know we were checking out early and did not even get a response. Reviews when we originally booked were around 8, but over the last month have plummeted. Definitely not a 4* property nor ‘deluxe’ as advertised

The staff was very friendly and helpful. She was alone though so a lot to handle! The jacuzzi with seaview was a highlight. The location is also fantastic and super convenient. You don't really have a sea view from the rooms and they are quite small. The room we had had a weird smell (the smell of the previous guests perhaps, although everything was clean but the smell would just not go away).

“OK, but not great.”

City location was good and being right on a beach was very good. No visibility from the street.cab driver was unsure where this accommodation was located (below street level). Also, many stairs (no elevator) down to accommodations with luggage was nearly impossible

“Do not stay here completely bogus set up”

The building looked more like a dilapidated apartment block than a hotel, and the rear area offered no facilities at all. It was promoted as a luxury hotel, but that claim was entirely false.

“Great stay”

The apartment was beautiful with an amazing jacuzzi and within a short walk from the sea. There were plenty of parking spaces nearby which was great for carrying the luggage from the car. A lot of options for eating and a very nice neighborhood
