“The place is fine, but management can't act on badly behaved guests”
The old building had charm, the bedroom was comfortable and tidy, and the bathroom was clean and the blocked drain was fixed quickly. Its proximity to the train station made it a logical stop before pricier Bilbao options. I wouldn’t return because of how the management dealt with disruptive guests: a group of young adults booked several rooms and threw a loud party with music, talking, and drinking—walls are thin. When I reported it, management made excuses and delayed action, claiming “it’s normal before 10 pm,” “the camera shows they already left” when they hadn’t, and “is it still happening?” while I sent audio recordings. It took an hour to resolve, only because the party‑goers were leaving. Later, another room had a dog barking and its owners tossing a squeaky toy at 11 pm+. Management believed the young adults when they promised quiet, but at 6:30 am they were talking and I heard vomiting, so I left early. Management later told me they had finally kicked them out.
