A recently renovated canal boat in Little Venice offers a single bedroom, bathroom, and spacious living area with a fully equipped kitchen. Guests enjoy a private entrance, sun terrace, garden, outdoor fireplace, and picnic spot. Located 20 km from London City Airport, it is near Lord’s Cricket Ground, Paddington Station, and Portobello Road Market. Boating access enhances the experience.

Staying on the canal boat was wonderful; the place is easy to find, close to restaurants, and the area is gorgeous for exploring and walking by the water. It’s within walking distance of Paddington station and offers a wider selection of bars, shops, and restaurants. The boat supplies water, power, a shower, tea-making facilities, and linen, and the bed is really comfortable. Sitting on the stern to watch the sunset was a treat. The owner communicated excellently, and the manual was very helpful. Everything was great, though I would have preferred a thinner pillow for back sleepers, so I used a cushion instead.

We loved staying in a unique spot that wasn’t a hotel room for an overnight stop; I’ve wanted a barge stay for a while, and it was perfect while visiting Lords. On a sunny day we enjoyed wine on the deck, and the crew were friendly as walkers and other boaters passed by early in the evening. Plenty of throws were provided for when it got a bit chilly at night, so no problem. We ate at The Summerhouse in the evening (booked in advance—bucket‑list ticked) and also enjoyed The Grand Junction Café on checkout morning, which was literally on land as you step off the boat and descend a small slope. Both places are recommended! A Sainsbury’s local is a 10‑minute walk, so bring milk and other essentials if you’re heading to Little Venice to avoid an extra trip. The only request (not a dislike) is for a few more pictures to accompany the instructions, like those for the power bank; we were laughing trying to locate the tiny water switch and the toilet flush, not being campers. We thought we were being completely daft… and probably were!
