The location is very strategic and close to the local village, so I could explore the local food easily. Nothing was wrong—everything was great.

The spot is perfect for motorbike riders, surrounded by breathtaking views and a great place to catch both sunrise and sunset. There’s a rooftop terrace with seating and hot showers. Ari and his grandfather are fantastic hosts who treat guests kindly, offering tea or coffee multiple times. Breakfast was pleasant, featuring toast or pancakes, fruit, and tea or coffee. If you plan to hike, Ari can give advice or even guide you. A few warungs are nearby, but you’ll need a motorbike to reach them. The drive to Sembalun takes about 40 minutes and involves steep climbs and descents, so keep your brakes in good shape. The only downside is the early‑morning prayer broadcast from the mosque loudspeaker around 4–5 a.m.

The place is absolutely amazing! The view of Mount Rinjani, the distant sea, and the rice paddies right outside the door give pure relaxation. Ary, the host, was fantastic—thanks for the great conversations, the plenty of laughs, and the overall wonderful time. Highly recommend!
