The location was good and the cottages weren’t cramped together. The Wi‑Fi signal was present but never connected; there was an amplifier but it had no batteries, so we got no reception. The shower was narrow, the cottage looked worn, the freezer latch was broken, and the door hinges were pulling away from the wall. Flemish TV channels were hard to find, there were only four knives, and the oven was off‑limits, making us doubt whether cooking would be possible. The cottage and its furnishings weren’t very clean.
