The location was good, the staff friendly, the breakfast had a good variety, and the price was just right. The room we got was basically an attic; I was one foot from the bed and straight into the bathroom—far too small. If I book again, I’ll definitely contact the ibis style team myself and make sure the accommodation is sufficient.

The location was great, close to the train station and the sightseeing bus, and there were a few shops and pubs nearby to choose from. The hotel was easy to find and within walking distance, even for disabled guests, and the building outside was not unsightly, fitting in with the area. The bed was uncomfortable, and only three pillows were provided even though I asked for another. The room lacked sufficient light, and the toilet seat moved a lot, but it wasn’t annoying enough over the two nights to bother the reception.

It was away from the hustle and bustle of York Center and the crowds. Downside is the 1/2 walk to and from the hotel. Since we like walking, it wasn’t a huge problem for us. The property is nice, but the up and down side of its location is there is nothing nearby to do/see. A couple of small restaurants but not more
