The rooms were tastefully decorated, clean, and had comfortable beds. However, the hotel's location near the Wilpattu National Park meant that we had to eat on-site, which was a problem. The menu options were limited, and the food was, without a doubt, the worst we had in Sri Lanka during our three-week trip. As vegetarians, it was difficult to communicate our dietary needs, and the staff spoke little English.

The location of this place is perfect for a safari adventure, and the overall setup is quite impressive. The staff is super friendly, and they even offered us a refreshing drink before we headed out on our safari. The on-site dogs are adorable and well-behaved. However, communication during dinner was a bit tricky since the staff didn't speak much English, and the food wasn't that great.

Unfortunately, our experience at this hotel was a disaster from start to finish. After a long journey, we arrived at 7 PM to be told that there was no option for dinner, as the kitchen was closed. It was bizarre, given that the local people often eat at 8 or 9 PM. We had to call another hotel in the area to see if we could eat there, and thankfully, a lovely woman helped us out.

This place has a genius concept - you can choose to camp out in the open or opt for a room, and it's all spotlessly maintained. The staff is incredibly accommodating, and the fact that the safari starts right outside the door makes it a haven for those seeking relaxation and peace. It's the perfect tip for anyone looking to unwind.
