The houses were tidy and well equipped. They were clean. We booked two identical houses for 8 people each at the same time, but the houses turned out to be far apart. At check‑in we were told we should have indicated that we wanted the houses next to each other when booking, which seems obvious when booking two identical houses simultaneously. We had to move the entire park with chairs, plates, cutlery, etc. every time. It was quite pointless.

The villa is for singles. There is no hair dryer, no window screens on the windows and terrace doors, and the stairs to the bedrooms are somewhat dangerous for small children—perhaps a railing barrier at the top would help. Ants were in the entrance area from the terrace to the dining area.

“Leuk huis met grote tuin en overkapping”

The cottage was charming with a large garden and four roomy bedrooms; the downstairs bathroom was spacious while the upstairs one was small, and the big canopy was wonderful to sit under. Cleanliness was only average—items from previous guests were still under the beds—and the two‑car parking space was hard to reach because of a dead‑end turn.

“A wonderful remote getaway to a self-contained sanctuary.”

The spot was great and super easy to reach with public transport; a single bus line goes to De IJsvogel from the station, so timing matters but it’s straightforward. The staff were polite and the rooms were fantastic. Unfortunately we arrived during a scheduled renovation, so on the second day the front desk, shop and restaurant were all shut, leaving us stuck inside for the day. That made us feel very isolated and finding food was a hassle because delivery options were scarce. I’d have liked more heads‑up, but we also share some responsibility.

“Gezellig en op vakantiepark alle gemakken voorzien”

We enjoyed our stay in the spacious house with interconnected rooms and a large living area and kitchen. Each room had its own bathroom, and we appreciated the PlayStation and the various facilities available on the vacation park, including a pool, bread service, restaurants, playground, bowling, and mini-golf. However, we were disappointed to find that the living room and kitchen lacked proper curtains, which made it difficult to control the light.
