Jon and his crew gave a lovely welcome and kept in touch. The welcome pack was a real treat when I arrived, and the whole stay felt like home from start to finish. The only hiccup was the lift to the 3rd floor being very slow.

I stayed in a one‑bedroom apartment at the back of the building. If the description doesn’t say sea view, then there isn’t one. The location on Douglas Promenade is great, with an M&S Foodhall nearby for stocking up. Walking down the promenade to the Railway Tavern at the end is nice. Some pubs in Douglas are quite rough, like the nearby Wetherspoon. The washing machine in the basement is handy. It’s a bit pricey for a non‑sea view, but I understand running a hotel profitably these days.
