I was pleased to find the hotel close to the airport, but the air conditioning was not working, and I had to request a room change multiple times before it finally happened. The same issue happened with the towel supply for the bathroom and the bottled water. Even in the new room, the air conditioning was very weak. For a four‑star place, that’s disappointing.

Everyone on the staff, from the reception to the café and restaurant, was friendly. The only downside was that the air conditioning was weak.

The breakfast was fine, and the staff even asked me if I wanted an omelet; I said yes, and the chef made one for me. That level of attentiveness shows quality staff. My son and I also had a bag of laundry that needed cleaning, and the laundry service handled it well. The next day, a week's worth of clothes from both of us was delivered, neatly pressed or bagged, by a hotel worker. I don’t have time to find a dry cleaner or laundromat, so having laundry service in the hotel saved me time. Unfortunately, there were rolling blackouts in Tunis that night. As expected during the summer, that’s common in the city, and the room became sweltering hot. I believe management is installing solar panels to help with electrical issues during a blackout, and I look forward to that backup solution.
