My wife and I couldn’t be happier with the Lodge, starting with the lovely Robin and Jim, our hosts. The location with the views is breathtaking. The room had a huge window facing the ocean. Very nice and comfortable.

The hosts were incredibly caring and attentive, making us feel right at home; we’ll definitely stay longer next time because it felt like a true team and a perfect place to unwind.

“Perfekter Ort zum Entspannen und mit bester Aussicht!”

Robyn and Jim were amazing hosts, and their lodge sits on a hill offering a great view of both the sea and Mount Taranaki – a fantastic spot just 15 minutes by car from New Plymouth. The rooms were thoughtfully decorated, very, very clean, and even wheelchair‑friendly. Breakfast was excellent, with homemade jams included. Overall, the best accommodation we’ve had in New Zealand – thank you for all your effort! No complaints.

“Stunning secenery, hosts so very accommodating”

The north‑sea view was spectacular, and the south‑mountain view was even more impressive. Robyn and Jim were outstanding hosts and everything ran smoothly. Morning and evening fires in the guest area were greatly appreciated and added a wonderful atmosphere. The continental breakfast was extensive, featuring warming porridge and a bonus. Highly recommended 😊 Nothing to add.
