The water area was very clean. The washer and dryer are paid but usable, which is convenient. The bus stop is also close.

All the dishes and appliances were there, making it comfortable. The hallway’s automatic lights flickered on even with a little movement, and they were blinding when I tried to sleep.

We were thrilled with our time at Kido; the staff were exceptionally friendly, the rooms spotless and comfy, and the design by the owner—who is also an architect—merged traditional Japanese style with modern amenities flawlessly. I was initially uneasy about sharing a bathroom, but it was impeccably clean and only shared with a few others. The building sits on a charming street in the heart of Ushimado, giving us a real feel for the town. I’d definitely return.
