Stayed here and it was a real treat—thanks a ton to the owner, Frau Ressi, for her warm hospitality. The only thing that slipped me was the lack of a mirror in or near the wardrobe (maybe a full‑length wall mirror would have helped).

Everything was spot on. The only downside was the fan running nonstop during the heatwave, and the minibar didn't include drinks (though I didn't end up buying any). The in‑room coffee was more than enough.

The location is insane—right in the middle of the square. The night was scorching, the place heats up fast and ventilation didn't help much. The church bells started ringing early, but that's just part of the charm of being so central.

A lovely, well‑maintained old house with owners who are true culinary artisans. They use local Gailtal produce in fresh, pickled, and extracted forms—syrups, sauces, the works. Manuel Ressi and his partner Claudia run the kitchen like a masterclass, and their wine list is spot‑on. The rooms in the “kleine Bären” are elegantly simple, and the breakfast is a standout, beating many over‑the‑top 5‑star buffets. If you can make it to Hermagor, you won’t regret it.

The food was fantastic, the apartment comfortable, and the staff were incredibly friendly. Highly recommend it.
