The owner was very charming and pleasant. Breakfast was good. The house smelled damp right from the entrance and inside the room. The parquet was completely worn out, it trembled when a truck passed, and the bedding was average (the mattress base sank when you sat on it). The bathroom on our floor didn’t work, so we went down to the one below, but we didn’t want to use it because of hair hanging around and mildew on the tile seams. It’s an old house near the Loire, and I don’t understand why guests (pilgrims or not) are kept in a place like this.
