The best hotel we have stayed at in China. Exceptional luxury on a par with any top five‑star European hotel but for a fraction of the price. The hotel is beautifully designed with fabulous interiors. Breakfasts were incredible with a huge range of dishes. All of the staff were incredibly kind and helpful, but there were not many who could converse in limited English, which made it hard to make enquiries or get help from the concierge.

It’s close to tourist spots and public transport, the staff was very helpful, and the lobby and amenities are gorgeous. After the stay, a credit‑card glitch required several phone calls to sort out, but the staff stayed kind throughout, and it was eventually fixed.
