The hotel sits on lovely, well‑kept grounds just a stroll from Usk, and the building itself is tidy and comfortable; the dining room is the real star, with excellent food and friendly waitstaff. I’d definitely recommend it. The only downside is that a charging point would be appreciated.

We stayed on the second floor in the attic, so the lift was a relief. Breakfast choices were huge, and the polite staff made the experience great. Check‑in, on‑site car parking, and the proximity to Usk’s centre were all excellent. Room service was quick and the extra pillows were a plus; the room was very clean and the bath & shower were good quality. The price of £307 for two nights (Thursday & Friday) in mid‑September felt steep for a standard‑sized double bed, which my partner found spongy and sometimes uncomfortable. We asked to switch rooms but were told all beds were standard doubles. The TV was small, had few channels, and the volume was limited. The room felt cramped for £150+ per night. The hotel was full, so I guess the best rooms had already been taken.

Nice location, great breakfast, and the staff were fantastic. The bedroom had dust, the carpet was old and not clean under the bed, and the bed was awful—too soft and uncomfortable.
