The location was great, but the entire accommodation was filthy, unfit, and lacked comfort.

The place wasn’t much, but the moldy smell hit me right away, the sheets were dirty and spotted, only 2 pillows out of 4, and a feather comforter even though I’m allergic—synthetic is standard in rentals, so I didn’t ask for details beforehand. The bath mat had a questionable color, was soaked with water (it dripped when lifted), smelled bad, and was brown; the bathroom trash can hadn’t been emptied, and there were urine stains in the toilet that were obvious from the moment I arrived. Even after more than 6 hours of airing out (with blinds closed because we had left), the air still stung my nose and made sleeping difficult. The next day, when I opened the shower door, the mold smell was even stronger, so we had to wash ourselves with a towel (the linen was personally brought, thankfully). The floor was dirty, making it impossible to walk barefoot without getting it all dirty. The second bed was a BZ; no comforter, just a thin throw. Nothing matched the photos on the site. It was a disaster; I was ashamed to let my kids sleep there, I apologized to them because their mother brought them to such an unsanitary place. You can have a simple, modest place, okay (even if it isn’t what the photos show), but it should be clean and dry, a healthy place… especially for renting!

The value for money was decent, and the two beds were large, but nobody was there to greet us and the accommodation and linens weren’t very clean.

The old charm, the quiet, the view of the pond, the room was spacious, high‑ceilinged with second‑hand furniture, and the owner does everything to restore and keep it alive. It’s important to support people like that and these types of places that are our history and heritage. The only downside was the lack of a bath mat to step out of the shower and a few bath towels, but those are minor details.

The location and the ability to bring dogs were positives, and the site was nice. The listing didn’t match reality: the room was dirty, the sheets were questionable, the shower wasn’t waterproof so the bathroom flooded, the toilet leaked, and so on.
