The food was delicious and there were plenty of dishes to choose from, which I liked. Because it rained, I got pretty wet walking from the parking lot to the hotel, and having to take a bus to the restaurant and the hot‑spring was a hassle.

Everyone on the staff greeted me warmly and were incredibly attentive, which was fantastic. I stayed in the Owl Forest cottage, but I felt a little uneasy and thought the night‑time hot‑spring might be a safety risk.

I was glad the hotel was right next to the Fujishiro Seiji Art Museum since I wanted to visit it. The bath was not only far away but also under construction, so I couldn’t use it as expected, and I wish there were more on‑site options to make up for that inconvenience.

There was only one bath, but I could soak there at leisure. While staying at Owl Forest, I noticed a moldy smell in the toilet and bathtub, and I could hear footsteps and conversations from people outside quite clearly. The meals felt more lonely than I had imagined.

The room was very spacious, which I really appreciated. It actually felt a bit too big, making it feel oddly roomy.
