The place is in a great spot, just a short walk to the beach, and every staff member I met was friendly and welcoming. On the downside, the corridors and my room carried a very strong unpleasant smell, the rooms look run down and unclean—especially the bathroom with mould and black grouting—and the towels felt old and rough, so I didn’t use them. A little extra time and attention to the rooms could make a difference.

The location was perfect, but the property was very untidy and disgusting at one point; I almost left and slept in my car because the smell permeated everything. Some bathrooms had no showerhead and were flooding onto the floors. I have 25 photos but can only upload four; I’ll upload the rest to trading standards. I strongly recommend the owners sort this place out before advertising it again.

It’s cheap, which I like, but bugs were everywhere in my room.

Parking was easy and close by, and the kitchen is a handy extra. A bigger carpark would help, but street parking was fine.
