“Unhygienic, Infested with Ants, Broken Ammenities, Dissmissive Host.”
The shuttle drivers were friendly, but I would strongly advise against staying at Sorrento Nature and Spa. The area is beautiful and the shuttle drivers were welcoming, yet the accommodation itself was extremely disappointing and, in several respects, unhygienic. The worst issue was an ant infestation in the upstairs bedroom, with ants crawling on us, the pillows, and our belongings—completely unacceptable and made it hard to feel comfortable. The bathroom flooded every time we showered, even when we kept the door fully closed; we had to use towels to contain the water, yet it still spread across the floor. There were multiple maintenance problems, such as a broken kettle and a broken electrical socket. The pool was dirty, littered with leaves and debris, and we had to clean it ourselves with the provided net. Housekeeping was problematic; our belongings were repeatedly moved to different places, and once our swimwear was left in the bidet, which we found extremely unhygienic. The shuttle does not run between 12 pm and 4 pm, a major inconvenience given the isolated location and lack of nearby amenities, and this should be clarified before booking. The name “Sorrento Nature and Spa” was misleading because there was no spa. When we raised these issues, the response was dismissive—no apology, and we were told there was no point in complaining after the stay, which was incredibly discourteous, especially since we wanted the property to improve.
