The place felt very homely, the staff were lovely and helpful, and they changed our room without us asking when they noticed I was walking with two sticks. The beds were very comfortable and I had a nice large en‑suite. The food was very good, and other guests were friendly as well. I can recommend a stay! The hotel is up a steepish hill from the car park in the square, which isn’t great for me personally, but they can’t help that.

“Did what it needed for the dalesway”

It was central and on the route of the dalesway, and it was comfortable. It was a little dated but still tidy enough.

“Perfect location in one of the most popular villages in The Dales.”

Brilliant location in this extremely popular village. Large en-suite bathroom with nice quality toiletries. Extremely good breakfast included. Good WiFi, sockets by the bed, a good shower and a magnificent view from the room. There was nothing really to fault, but for £120, a bit more character would be good. The room itself is quite small and the TV needs to be wall mounted so it can be seen from the bed rather than being on a dressing table to one side of it
