We enjoyed a wonderful stay at this well‑maintained, cozy traditional Japanese house; everything was exceptionally clean, the staff warm, attentive, and always ready to help, making the experience even better; we arrived by car, the base of Yoshino Mountain was convenient for exploring, especially if you plan to drive up, parking available but best to inform the property beforehand; the price felt slightly high for shared facilities, especially during cherry blossom season.

The hosts were genuinely very friendly. The room itself was spacious yet quite bare. All the equipment is located in the common areas, which are very convenient. There’s a shared kitchen that’s well‑equipped. Everything was clean, even the shared toilets and showers. If you’re arriving by train, note that there’s no restaurant open; only a Lawson supermarket where you can buy food and prepare meals at the hotel, and the same applies to breakfast. The soundproofing was lacking, but the other guests were respectful and quiet. The toilets and showers were far from our room, which was a bit uncomfortable. There was also a lack of nearby services.

The bedding, especially the mattress and pillows, were perfect for me, and the room’s tatami layout was calm and easy to relax in, allowing me to sleep deeply despite the accommodation feeling like a hotel. The owner, a woman, was very attentive and considerate, giving me peace of mind. It would have been nice to have a trash bin in the room.
