The rooms and breakfast were very pleasant, and the sauna with clean towels was wonderful, but the dinner was not so great. The hotel feels a bit dated, especially the parking situation—there’s only street parking and the path up is a nasty, extremely steep hill. The indoor pool is far away and inaccessible for disabled guests because there’s no lift. On top of that, there’s a €15 parking fee per day and, in addition to the tourism tax, an extra €4.50 energy charge, so the bill isn’t exactly sparkling.

The location itself is pretty nice, and the wellness area is spacious and clean. However, there’s no free parking at the hotel; you have to pay €15 a day. The steep ascent from the street to the hotel is not doable for older people. We were sent away in our car right after unloading the luggage before we could even check in. The reception gave no information unless you asked, and rooms are usually cleaned only every two days unless you request it. The rooms are very dark with little lighting everywhere.

“Snel weg gegaan”

The location is great. We could cancel on the same day, which was lucky. After seeing the rooms, we quickly realized they were much less than expected—quite cramped and basic, and we still had to pay for parking. The reception ladies were friendly and understanding, but the female manager was pretty arrogant. When we heard each other’s noise, we were told to be quieter, and if someone heard something, the other behaved oddly.

The view from the hotel was beautiful, the wellness area was great, and the rooms were large and modern. In the restaurant, it was too dark to see what was on the plate. The starters and salad buffet were excellent, and you could choose a main dish, but it wasn’t special. I’ve never had to pay an extra €9 electricity surcharge before.
