Fantastic accommodation! All the amenities for a peaceful few days. Good bathroom, very comfortable bed, equipped kitchen, living room with sofa and TV, air conditioning. Spotless cleaning. Beautiful views of the Vouga River. Pool area with hammocks. Very friendly staff. One hour by car to Aveiro and the beaches. Highly recommended 😊. The only minor issue was the location – the town is in the mountains, so the road has curves.

First, I didn’t see the negative comments posted on Booking except that it’s better to shop for groceries in Sever do Vougo before heading to the rental because there’s no dining option within 20 min by car except the pool snack bar until 18 h (quite handy, though). The staff is available, very pleasant, and helpful. The cleanliness is spot‑on. The place is quiet and there are nice walks (especially for the PR6, count 2/3 hours and good shoes). The apartment is spacious and the beds are comfortable! The pool is fine, though you should bring sunscreen because shade is scarce ;-) I didn’t test the spa side with the Turkish bath and fitness equipment (the jacuzzi was under maintenance). Nothing else, except maybe a coffee machine in the kitchen.

Breakfast was tasty with plenty of options. Wi‑Fi is tough, but that’s due to the granite houses. The walls are almost a meter thick, which is normal in this region, so Wi‑Fi struggles to penetrate. Lilian gave us a better Modum and then it worked fine. From the pool we had a more beautiful view of the Vouga River. The Cascatas de Cabreia were spectacular, and you could swim and picnic there. Nothing much else. Maybe a coffee machine in the rooms, but the coffee in the restaurant was good.

The house had everything you need! They paid a lot of attention to the baby, adding a crib, a bathtub with towels, a nursing chair with a pillow, and a plush toy in the crib. The jacuzzi wasn’t working and the pool had no shade, plus the floor around it was too hot, but with the sunshades it would be much better soon!
