The location was fine, but a leak from the room on the floor above was soaking.

Everything worked, the place stayed clean, the Wi‑Fi was solid, and there was plenty of parking outside—perfect for a business layover.

The room was really decent, and having an ensuite was a plus even though it was a bit small; the value was great. I slept very well because the blinds and curtains gave near‑blackout darkness, which was a definite bonus. If I ever return to South Shields, I’ll check availability here first. If I’m nit‑picking, the shower door was a little loose and kept opening while I was in the shower, but that’s a very minor issue and won’t change my overall review.

The property was clean and well presented, and the facilities were great. The room could use a brighter main light and a bathroom mirror to aid shaving and hair brushing.
