“Clean and comfortable, but the staff experience was disappointing.”

The hotel itself was very good – the room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, so we were happy with the accommodation. Unfortunately, the staff experience was rather disappointing. When we arrived to use the garage, they sternly asked about our car’s height and length, which is understandable for safety, but the interaction felt impersonal; they weren’t rude, but the welcome lacked warmth and friendliness, as if they were just doing their job instead of making guests feel welcome. Breakfast was a similar issue: the lady at the counter told us breakfast wasn’t included because it wasn’t on her list, even though my confirmation clearly stated it was. I explained, she went to the front desk to verify, and the way it was communicated in front of other guests made us feel we had to justify our presence for breakfast. A simple “Let me double‑check this for you, there may be a mistake in our system” would have helped. Overall, the hotel was clean and comfortable with good facilities, but the staff could use more training in guest communication and hospitality. I’ve had warmer, more personal service at smaller private hotels, so I expected a bit more from an established brand like IBIS.

Breakfast was tasty, with snacks and drinks available in the lobby. The room was nice, the staff friendly, and there was a shop next door. The view from the room was lacking.
