“gewoon geweldig!”

Xander and his team go out of their way to make sure you’re comfortable. The food, especially compared to what you get in Kruger Park, was truly outstanding—fresh, carefully prepared, and we savored every meal, from the extensive breakfast to a different three‑course dinner each night. It was also nice that Xander dined with us along with his daughter, sharing good conversation, fine wine, and drinks. The game drives and bush walk were adventures that taught us a lot about the incredible wildlife and the reserve, thanks to Xander’s dedication. The rooms and the lodge, stocked with everything you might need and well‑filled refrigerators, were thoughtfully arranged, just like at home, and everything was spotless. The only minor wish was a heated pool (we visited in winter), but given the 40 °C summer heat, it’s understandable—after all, we’re on safari, not a beach holiday.

“Excelllent .”

This stay at the lodge was excellent, everything was together. The host Xander is a very nice person, very cultured and knows his job well. We learned a lot about animals, the life of South Africans, and their culture. He loves sharing his knowledge; we learned so much thanks to him and his expertise. We felt like family. The lodge was very beautiful, very tidy, very clean. It is located in the middle of a reserve; at every entrance or exit we saw animals—lions, elephants, giraffes… we were dazzled and impressed throughout our stay. We thought we would only see big animals, but we also had the chance to discover several bird species with a lot of explanations from our host Xander, who has a lot of knowledge. Guide Eli is also a very nice person; we had an excellent day with him on the Panorama Route (we hesitated at first to book this activity but ended up pleasantly surprised by the beauty of everything we experienced). Thanks to him we visited magnificent landscapes with many explanations. He knows his job very well, super kind, accommodating, and we also learned a lot from him. The food is excellent, very very good, we were delighted, we could taste the braai that was prepared in front of our eyes, what a great memory. Book the safari and Panorama Route activities with Xander, it’s a must, you won’t regret it. Thank you again Xander for your welcome, your kindness and hospitality. This stay will remain etched in our memory and we will definitely come back one of these days. Nothing at all.

Had a fantastic time at Ngalali. It's a great place to explore the reserve and Kruger with knowledgeable guides. Everyone is super friendly and the food is delicious (including vegetarian options)

I had a complete Kruger Park experience. The service was very good and friendly with a personal touch. Xander, Elly and the rest of the team really helped and guided us superbly. One real recommendation!!!

“Outstanding food and game drives. Super hosts.”

The best place we stayed on the whole trip. Lorenza, who takes care of the guests, made us feel genuinely welcome and comfortable from the moment we arrived. Xander, who leads the game drives, gave us an unforgettable experience — we were lucky enough to see rhinos and lions and other animals. The game drives were amazing and successful, the food was outstanding, and the whole place is incredibly beautiful. It is also LGBT-friendly, with a warm and relaxed atmosphere. Staying here felt much more like visiting friends than staying at a hotel. We would happily come back and highly recommend it. Nothing! We had an amazing time.
