Hotel Tropika

We liked the location because we prefer a quiet spot, and the swimming pool is a bonus since we enjoy swimming. The staff were very accommodating and friendly.

“Un cadre agréable”

We enjoyed our stay here; the staff and the reception ladies were really helpful and friendly, and we even got our room ahead of the scheduled time, which was a big plus. The pool was pleasant with a lifeguard on duty, and the rustic style gave the place a certain charm, especially with the lovely garden. Its location made it easy to reach Samal Island, the port being just nearby. The only drawback was the restaurant: the dishes didn’t always match the menu description, and prices sometimes changed without any notice.

“A wonderful hotel overall, with the only minor issue being hallway noise outside our room.”

The staff, the facilities, and breakfast were all great. Our room was on the ground floor, so we could easily hear guests walking and talking outside in the evening, almost as if our door was left open.

“Better Comminication”

The housekeeping staff was very good. They asked us every morning as we walked by, greeted my daughter using a formal Bisaya greeting. Took time to tidy up and organize our toiletries and my daughter's stuffed animals. - light switches in bathroom didn't always work the 1st time you pressed them and you had to push them really hard and fast to get them to work. - No 2 bed rooms with a Queen and a Double for 2 adults and a child. Only 2 double bed option. - Miscommunication with independent Cafe owners meant someday were Biffet and some were al la carte - but this wasn't communicated to Guests which led us to think thatt the Breakfast was closed that morning. - Hotel offers poolside towels but you have to request them and sometimes the staff brought them and sometimes the mife guard brought them if you bugged him enough. It would be nice if they just had a stack of towels on a cart loke most Hotels for Guests to grab. -Swimming pool Warerfall was not working -Construction noise on new Hotel Tower was loud and woke us up at times

“Quiet city retreat close to the airport.”

As other reviews state u totally forget that it’s in the city, really quiet and entrance and pool area has pretty green areas. Hotel room was big and enough space for our 3 medium sized luggages. Food was yummy. Nothing to say that really bothers maybe that the lamps can inly be turned off by unpluging
