The hotel isn’t far from the airport, and the breakfast service starts very early. It was stated that the shuttle service was included in the room price, yet I was still charged for it, which doesn’t match the conditions that were communicated to me.

The hotel's spot was perfect – just a quick ride from the airport and the sites I had on my list. Too bad the room felt old: the shower drain was clogged, bedside lamps never lit up, there was no heating and the fixtures looked worn out.

The place was calm, the staff greeted us warmly, lunch was hearty and tasty, and everything was clean. On the downside, the furniture is worn and needs replacing, the flat‑screen TVs have no Netflix, and the Canal+ decoder is set to Congo‑Brazzaville channels instead of the DRC.

I appreciated the quiet vibe; it really let me relax. The staff were fantastic from reception all the way to lunch service. The only gripe was the furniture – it’s pretty shabby.

Trying out a chalet‑style room was a first for me and gave a nice countryside feel, but there was no way to contact the front desk from the room. The room was colder than outside, and I didn’t feel secure since anyone could get into rooms without checking in.
