We were upgraded to a corner suite on the 13th floor, the view was amazing, especially at night you could just sit on the bed and watch the world go by. There was nothing we didn’t like; we were only there for one night.

The staff was very friendly and efficient. The hotel is reasonably central to downtown, Gastown and Chinatown, and the parking garage across the alley is very convenient. I stayed in the "suite" – two beds in separate rooms. Technically true, the second bed takes up the entire living space and the two rooms share an opaque "window" that lets light in, which made it hard to read when the other person slept. Also, the bathroom had no night light, so it was very dark to use the facilities in the middle of the night. Parking is very expensive.

We snagged a corner room with an amazing view, though we only stayed overnight before a cruise and didn’t get to see the full hotel. We arrived late in the afternoon and checked out early the next morning, and the hotel was just a 10‑minute walk to the cruise port that morning, which was great. The only gripe was the room‑service breakfast: my wife didn’t like the French toast—it was a bit mushy and burnt on one side, and that was our main complaint.
