“Avoid!!”
The location was great near town and security was good. My room was dirty, there were no pillowcases on the pillows, the bedsheets didn’t smell fresh, and the bathroom was not clean either. There was no tissue in my bedroom, so I had to grab one from the downstairs toilet, which was not much. Later I had to use my own pocket tissues when I used the downstairs toilet. We were also forbidden from using the kitchen and our breakfast was terrible. We were not asked how we wanted our eggs and when we requested proper Kenyan tea they refused to cook for us. The “English breakfast” had no bacon or baked beans. No menu was offered to select from. The owner was very rude and there was no privacy at all. The host lives there with her house help and kid, so basically no privacy. Water is charged. My usual experience is that Airbnb hosts provide water for free and you have access to the kitchen if you need to make a cup of tea or warm food. Never heard of an Airbnb where you are banned from the kitchen. Cleanliness was non‑existent! My room was very dirty and I couldn’t wait to check out the next day. I paid, but on arrival I was asked to pay cash and the host indicated that she did not get the booking confirmation, which was odd. Despite me showing her my confirmation email she still insisted on cash payment. Please avoid this place; it will save you a lot of headache.
