“Ideal for a solo budget traveller, staff brilliant”

A solid, comfortable spot for a solo budget traveller, with friendly, professional staff who were very helpful. I had buffet breakfast in the garden on a few occasions, and the room was well serviced with water supplied by the staff. The seating area outside the room was pleasant, and the A/C worked well at night in late September. On the downside, there was a dehumidifier in the room because it was humid, which didn’t bother me but might for others. The shower head wasn’t wall‑mounted, so you have to hold it while washing your hair—an issue for me since I have a lot of hair.

“Simple room but quite ok for a couple of nights.”

The location is great and quiet, a few hundred metres back from the port; expect a slightly bumpy walk with luggage unless you use one of the port’s baggage transport options. The pension room is small like many Greek rooms, but that doesn’t bother us. It has a good firm bed, is clean yet basic. We enjoyed the lovely courtyard area to sit in. The room is small, with a small fridge and no drinking glasses or cutlery, but that’s fine for the couple of nights we stayed. Korres toiletries were included.

Breakfast was simple and very tasty 😊 The staff were wonderfully kind and helpful, offering suggestions on where to go on the island and how. The location is super!

“Sjarmerende”

Very charming little beds in the tiny white house in the cozy “backyard.” Fantastic location in Hydra’s narrow, idyllic streets, a short walk to the harbor (about 5 min), and to island trails, within walking distance of most things! We used the good breakfast buffet at the neighbouring Angelica hotel, which shares a wall with Andrea Pension. There was a slight musty smell in the room, but we were aware after reading earlier reviews.

The staff were helpful and the room was close to the port. The air purifier was a huge issue: it was too small for the room we stayed in and had to be emptied every 6‑7 hours. Once full, the room became really stuffy.
