Breakfast was tasty and the accommodation was clean, but the road to the property is steep, which made the first visit a bit challenging; subsequent trips could be more enjoyable.

The price is very reasonable for the amazing view, though the slope is a bit steep, it still makes the journey fun.

The location and view are dreamy; we slept better than anywhere else in Thailand thanks to the fresh mountain air at about 940 m, the large windows facing three directions, and the superb mattresses. A private vehicle is needed to reach Khao Kho National Park, and one must deviate from standard routes. We were the only foreigners around, and the drive was worth it (from BKK via Khao Yai and Phimai; further to Sukhothai takes about 3 h). The friendly house‑keeper couple don’t speak English but will call the owner to translate if needed; both cared for us so much that saying goodbye was hard. The drive is a bit adventurous (the last 800 m off Route 2196, partly very steep), but the seclusion and setting make it worthwhile.
