“Nem ajánlom Senkinek”
The food was the only decent thing. I would not recommend Hotel Rudolf in Hajdúszoboszló to anyone. We stayed there only because we had no other choice, but it was a huge disappointment overall. We arrived with a small dog, yet we were given a room on the third floor. From the moment we entered, a very strong, unpleasant odor greeted us. The room had old furniture, old parquet, and an overall neglected feel. We did not receive what we expected based on the pictures advertised. There was a huge gap between the photos and reality. We asked for a different room because we absolutely didn’t want to stay in the first one. We finally got a somewhat acceptable room, but the unpleasant smell remained. On the first day we paid the full amount for the four nights and the dog fee. We talked to several other guests at the hotel, and unfortunately they had similar bad experiences. One guest was offered an extra night for free if they stayed four days; we were not offered such a deal. The only positive thing was the breakfast and dinner: they were plentiful and tasty. Beyond that, I can’t say many positives. In the 35–40 °C heat, the restaurant didn’t turn on the air conditioning, even though the room had an AC. Everyone complained about the heat. During the four days the lift broke down twice. That was especially inconvenient because we lived on the third floor and had to lift our 16 kg French bulldog up and down. Moreover, there were other guests with pets on the first floor, so the lift failure was not just a problem for us. When we left, another unpleasant surprise hit us: they tried to charge us again for the one‑night dog fee, even though we had already paid it on the day of arrival.
