We liked the pub and the food, and the proximity to the Dover ferry was the deciding factor for staying here; the staff were nice. The cleanliness was disappointing, especially the bathroom that clearly needed a deep clean. We mentioned it upon arrival and within the next two hours someone tried to tidy the bathroom, but that’s not enough time for a proper clean. We’ve stayed here three times already, and this time we were a bit let down.

The breakfast was great—hot and a good selection. The reception was fine and nothing caused trouble. Every staff member was superb.
