“Perfect after the urban busdle of Ubud”
Up in the jungle with good roads, great views, and the quiet of the countryside.
“Amazing!!”
Everything was great. The surroundings are gorgeous, and the staff are very friendly. There’s an on‑site massage and a small shop. The shala boasts an amazing view, and the pool overlooks the rice terraces. The environment feels very calm. I loved sitting on my room’s tiny terrace and reading. The restaurant area offered free tea, coffee, and cookies all day. A water dispenser was in the room. The village trekking activity was nice, and the place is very green and clean. The coconut oil workshop with a local couple was fascinating. The building is extremely beautiful and there are many animals and pets. I was backpacking, so I left a lot of extra luggage, shampoo, yoga blocks, etc. at the resort, and they were fine with it. I hope the staff are happy with what I left because everything was in good condition. The retreat usually doesn’t allow pets, but they made an exception for my puppy. Everyone was super cute with her and she loved everyone. Thank you so much! The Balitrees taxi driver is a bit weird—he’s very nosy and kept asking me what was in my luggage while loading the car. He also decided to have lunch when I rode my motorcycle to the resort and took his sweet time while I waited for my belongings. We agreed to meet at the resort, and it’s only a 40‑minute drive. Balitrees solved it by not charging me for the ride and letting me join their activities for free, which I found very nice.
“Zen, zen et zen. Superbe séjour”
The location is in the middle of the rice fields. The calm and zen attitude. Very good yoga class and various free activities offered. Excellent healthy meals.
“Déçu”
The place is super quiet and they offer a few activities plus a small shop if you feel like buying something. The food is tasty. The pool is tiny, and the activity schedule is rigid—if your days don’t line up with the calendar, you miss events, which is annoying. The room is far away and the hot water runs out quickly. The staff woke us up once to clean the room. After a while you can get bored.
“A beautiful and peaceful stay in the rice fields and jungle.”
My family of five—my husband, me, and our three adult kids aged 20+—had a wonderful time staying here. We loved the gorgeous, peaceful location in the middle of rice fields and jungle. The staff were very helpful, doing everything they could to make our stay great. The food is delicious and reasonably priced, and we were happy to have more menu choices since we booked. Other guests didn’t get to choose their meals, but we could pick our lunch and dinner from five options. Free drinking water was provided, and each room had its own big water cooler, which was fantastic. We enjoyed the free meditation session and the village tour! Three of us also got massages, pedicures, and manicures, and they were good—especially the massages, the best we’ve ever had, and they were at good prices. Yoga sessions cost extra, 3,500,000 per session per person, which we thought was too high, so we didn’t join any. Also, every home and property in the local village has at least one dog, and some are free to roam. When we did the tour with the guide, no dogs approached us. But when we walked by ourselves a few days later, several dogs did, and some ran at us, barking, which was quite scary.
