The building sits on the river and the room is spacious, but the music was too loud.

The waterfront location is fantastic, the fresh breeze at the restaurant is lovely, the Canadian manager is a wonderful lady who enjoys helping out, the food at the restaurant is pretty good, and it’s great that all the profits go to their own school to educate children.

The Rio location is convenient for heading straight onto the hotel’s dock for a boat ride, the hostel is the cheapest in town, the double room is a decent size, and there is a fan; however, truck noise on the nearby pier requires earplugs, the rooms are not clean (passing cockroaches), and there is no kitchen.
The staff were friendly and welcomed us even though we arrived at 2 am because of a bus delay, and the spot by the water was perfect for launching a boat the next day, but the room was poorly insulated and a cockroach was in the room.
