Everything was spot on: the staff were very pleasant, the room was good, and the food lovely, though there was no anti‑slip mat for the shower; otherwise, everything was fine.

The location in the heart of town was perfect, and the old Cotswold inn’s exposed beams, leaded windows, and character were charming; the 4‑poster beds were nice, the place was well maintained, and the pub/breakfast area served good breakfast with helpful staff, but our bathroom was huge and the shower was just a handheld in an open stand‑alone tub.
