The house was dirty.

The property advertises private parking with a garage but does not mention that the access ramp is short and steep, that my car would hit the underside, and that the garage entrance is narrow and still short, preventing me from closing the door. The rooms were very uncomfortable, with furniture that looked like it was collected from the street, two pre‑war nightstands, and a plastic chair with no support. The sheets were clean, but there were a pair of visibly dirty towels with gray stains. I asked if they could be changed and the owner said he wasn’t there and that I could change them myself by taking them from a piece of furniture in the lounge. The lockers were tied with a strap and the items inside seemed to have come out of an explosion; the lack of care in the room reflected the rest of the property. The room also had door handles with hanging screws, paint with color spots from a recent paint job, unidentified stains, visible holes and imperfections, and a lot of stagnant mosquitoes, dirty scuffs, and in some places missing or detached parts. I could add more, but honestly I think I’ve given a precise idea of the condition; I also add that to have breakfast you have to take the car, and the road has several abandoned or dismantled car carcasses and at one point a pile of various metal debris.
