“Lovely location & site, well presented.”

Fabulous location, very well presented lodge, never had le cruset cooking pots in a rental before! Nice little welcoming basket with dishwasher tablets, tea towel and some of the bits you tend to forget. Plenty of space between lodges so not stacked on top of each other. Hot tub was in what looked like a bin store at the front of the property, not on the decking as per the adverts. You are asked to take your own towels - in fairness to the operator they did provide towels when asked I just think they should be part of the standard package - it’s not what you expect from a higher end accommodation. The shower in the main bathroom didn’t work but the en-suite was very good and there were only two of us so no problem. No bedside lamps or tables in the main bedroom - a slight change in layout would resolve the lack of wall space where the bed head is located (there are doorways either side of the headboard.)

We were thrilled with the lodge’s proximity to all the great sights and the stunning view it offered; we spent time birdwatching and stargazing. Nothing else stood out as a problem.

The lodge was spotless and incredibly cozy, with breathtaking scenery from the windows and a tranquil atmosphere; the furnishings were lovely and the beds very comfortable. However, the large decking area lacked tables, chairs, or any comfortable seating, so we couldn’t dine outside even though the weather was perfect, and a few hooks over the bathroom doors would have been useful.
