“Perfect for Bayeux! Easy to walk to everything, and in and out of town!”

The room was clean and comfortable enough for one night even without air conditioning. I had asked in advance for extra towels and a fan, and they were provided. Breakfast offered meats, cheese, bread, boiled eggs, pastries, coffee, juice, tea and cereals—note the sign that says an extra €5 will be charged for unfinished food, so only take what you truly want to eat; it’s not a place to experiment. They were very helpful about where to park the car and responded quickly to all messages. The bed was a little lumpy and soft— I prefer a firmer mattress.

“This is a great value and a great location where the town is easily walkable and central city for exploring Normandy.”

The host was lovely and very responsive. The location and nearby free parking are great. The on‑site breakfast is good value and tasty. Our room had the shower on a narrow steep staircase instead of on the ground floor, but we managed fine. There was no AC, but a fan in the room worked well. The bed was stiff.

The hotel sits right in the middle of town, which is great. It would have helped if the check‑in time started at 3pm, and more details about the high‑level rooms would have been useful; we ended up on the 3rd floor and the narrow staircase made bringing a large suitcase a real hassle.

“Hotel Le Saint Patrice is Lovely”

This two‑star place was spot on for our visit; a taxi from the train station was easy, but you can also walk about 20 minutes if you’re not lugging a lot of bags. The staff were fantastic throughout our three nights, always welcoming and helpful. We stayed in a standard twin room that was spacious enough for two, clean, and comfortable. The central location made walking around the city a breeze. We booked breakfast twice, and it was lovely, especially the fresh croissant and baguette among the other options. On our last night we had a car and parked for free at the nearby high school, just a few steps away. We’d definitely stay here again—perfect for exploring the Bayeux area.
