Hotel Rössle has a very good team; you can feel the spirit and lived hospitality. The décor and ambience are wonderful. The rooms are cleverly designed for maximum comfort—really cool! The blend of old and new in the building is perfectly executed. The atmosphere is very relaxed. The breakfast buffet met and exceeded all expectations. The location between Dorfstrasse and a nearby through‑street sometimes disturbed sleep, but the bus station is just a house away—perfect for good public transport. The evening menu design was sometimes a bit lacking for us.

Breakfast was very tasty with great bread and rolls, cold cuts, spreads, cheese, scrambled eggs, fruit salad, muesli, yogurt—there was plenty of everything. There was a specialty corner with Italian or waffles, etc. The coffee served in the pot was too weak for my taste, but there was free espresso on request, which was no problem. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. It was also great that the hotel offered E‑bikes for rent (full or half a day). There’s a basement where you can store and charge your own bike. The location was very quiet for sleeping, and the beds were super comfortable. The portions of the main dish at dinner felt rather small compared to other Austrian hotels. I was fine with it because there was salad (buffet), soup, and a small dessert afterward. I could see it being too small for an active young man, but probably a refill would have been offered, which I didn’t need. My husband therefore took more salad.

The staff were extremely friendly, the food was delicious, the beds comfortable, the hotel cozy, and the sauna and relaxation area lovely.
