We booked because it advertised pet friendliness, but after checking in we were told we couldn’t leave our dog in the room or even bring it to eat; we had to leave at 9:00 pm and drive to Joplin to find a truly dog‑friendly place.

It was my first time at a Sleep INN and I’ll return; the GPS just gave me the wrong directions, but that wasn’t their fault.

Breakfast was great, the spot had easy interstate access, and the RT 44 truck stop nearby offered plenty of food and shopping; the ice machine had a water cooler next to it, which I appreciated. The pool was nice but the water was too hot, almost like a bath.

The location was close to the highway, staff were friendly, rooms were clean and modern, and there’s a good diner next door; the room lacked a fridge and I heard some highway noise at night, but that was a minor issue.
