We stayed just one night before heading to Kho Pra Thong; the room was spacious with air conditioning and a fridge, the people were very friendly and picked us up from the pier, and the staff organized our onward travel to the next accommodation—thanks, thanks, thanks. The town had a great beachfront restaurant and a youthful startup bar called The Roo Roo Bar with great guys.

Onderdak. Geen airco, geen waterkoker en muizenkeutels in douche/niet schoon, tuin en pad slecht onderhouden. Voor die prijs erg teleurgesteld. Bovendien adresgegevens verkeerd in Boeking.com en online waardoor (plus zoeken) +/-36km omgefietst

The bed was very comfortable, the apartment was clean and fairly new, and the room was huge—almost like it was built from industrial units. It offered good value for the price we paid and its proximity to the port made island exploration convenient, though the dividing walls are thin so you can hear other residents clearly.

The GPS point for the hotel is misleading; it actually sits at the port exit, not at the island’s tip. The beach is not adjacent to the rooms—it’s a 10‑minute walk along the national road. The southern walls are just glass panels with plastic film, even the front door, so it’s not cool in the heat. The apartment lies along that national road, and out of the row of units, only one lacks air‑conditioning, yet that one is the only one offered for booking—air‑conditioning is crucial in this area. During a four‑day stay, no one came to change towels, empty trash, or sweep. In every other place we stayed in Thailand, bottled water was supplied daily, but not here. A rat came in at night and gnawed on our kitchen supplies.
